This movie came as a real relief to me. After being disappointed by most of the recent wannabe thrillers, I was skeptical about this one too, which in a way is understandable. However, while stepping out of the theater after watching it, I was not only satisfied but was extremely proud too to have dared to go to the theater to watch it.

Forget the polemics, and forget the Valerie Plame inspiration. The problem with ‘message’ movies is that you can get sidetracked by the message and miss out on everything that’s good about a film. This is an intense thriller with a disturbing dynamic between Matt Dillon and Kate Beckinsale. Kate Beckinsale delivers a strong performance in her role. It’s disturbing and (hence) truthful in portraying the events that happens in the filthy world of politics around the world. The surprising, twisted climax only adds to its brilliance.

It’s definitely worth a watch, for some even two. No, I am not exaggerating, I’m saying NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH.
