Kevin James (“King of Queens”) stars in this comedy as Paul Blart, an overzealous security guard who finds himself in way over his head when he attempts to thwart a criminal mastermind’s (Keir O’Donnell) plot to rob an entire shopping mall. Bobby Cannavale (Snakes on a Plane), Jayma Mays and Shirley Knight also star in this family-friendly laffer from director Steve Carr.

Based on the story line I had low expectations for this one and yes it was stupid and over the top but it’s a comedy with Kevin James and was, surprisingly, a very funny film.

I expected it to be kind of funny but worried all the funny stuff was in the trailer. It somehow is a much better than it should be, not only funny but surprisingly sweet and you end up caring about the characters. My wife hates stupid comedy movies but laughed through this one and had a good time.
