Coraline

Coraline

The story of a young girl who unlocks a mysterious door in her new home, and enters into an adventure in a parallel reality. On the surface, this other world eerily mimics her own life–though much more fantastical. In it, Coraline encounters such off-kilter inhabitants as the morbidly funny Miss Forcible and Miss Spink, and a counterfeit mother–who attempts to keep her. Ultimately, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to get back home.

    Too creepy for kids?

Coraline Jones wishes she had new parents since hers are always busy, but while her “other” mother and father want nothing but to dote on her, there’s a catch: She’s gotta sew black buttons over her eyes. With needle and thread!

This disturbing aspect is certainly enough to give the littlest viewers the hebejeebies, but will it spook the grown-ups? Probably. A Fantastic movie and in 3D to boot!

Coraline was fantastic. I would not recommend it for children under 8 years as it does have some creepy parts. This movie is great in any mode but must be seen in 3D to truly appreciate the vivid colours and artistry that went into the creation or Coraline. I got completely sucked and and could not turn away! It is truly a masterpiece!
